Aluzinc/Zinacalume
More Information | Quick Order
Aluzinc coating can be used in two separate methods; they are Hot-dipped and Electro-galvanized coating. The coating used on the steel is dependent on the corrosive factors found within the environment in which the zinc coated steel will be used in.
Cold Rolled Steel
More Information | Quick Order
BSi Steel distributes Cold-Rolled sheet that is produced from descaled hot-rolled coils by means of cold reduction which is achieved through a cold rolling process that provides thinner gauges and enhanced surface texture. This is generally followed by annealing in a suitable gaseous atmosphere to prevent oxidation and is then temper rolled. Further processing may include stretch leveling, rolling and oiling, depending on the end use or BSi Steels customer requirements.
Electrogalvanised
More Information | Quick Order
Zinc plating process whereby the molecules on the positively charged zinc anode attach to the negatively charged sheet steel. The thickness of the zinc coating is readily controlled. By increasing the electric charge or slowing the speed of the steel through the plating area, the coating will thicken. A feature common to the very wide range of applications of hot and cold rolled steel sheet is that the surfaces of the material need to be coated to protect the sheet against corrosion and sometimes also for aesthetical reasons.

BSi Steel distributes Galvanized sheet that is produced on continuous zinc coating lines from either cold rolled (thickness range 0, 4 to 2,00mm) steel sheet in coil form. The galvanizing process yields an evenly zinc coated sheet with a bright smooth metallic finish. This zinc coating can be supplied with a normal or spangled finish. Zinc coatings of different thicknesses can be specified to suit specific requirements for BSi Steel cliental.
Hot Rolled Sheet

Hot-rolled coils form the basic product for further processing. The Hot Rolled Coils that BSi Steel distributes are utilized either by selling to secondary industry in the form of rolled coils, or slit into narrower widths, or leveled and cut into discrete plates or sheets, or cleaned of surface oxide by pickling in acid, in preparation for cold-rolling. Hot Rolled Sheet is found to be used for items such as steel doors, cabinets and containers and hot-rolled slit mostly for pipes.
Plate 300WA

BSi Steel distributes Steel Plates that are produced from continuously cast slabs on a 4-high reversing mill cooled on cooling beds and then leveled and sheared to ordered size. To achieve superior mechanical properties, plates can be heat-treated, that is normalized or quenched and tempered. For structural and lower grade pressure vessel steels the thickness of the plate varies from 4.5mm to 100mm. Once the slabs are produced, surface defects are removed from slabs either by in-line scarfing machines or by hand-treating by means of scarfing with an oxygen-gas torch.
