Originally founded in 1985 as a division of Discount Steel known with the purpose to solely provide regular steel delivery to all major parts of the South African steel market.

BSi Steel Bulk Sales was originally known as Discount Steel Trading (Pty) Limited. This was achieved on August 1st, 2003 when we were created as a separate private company to the original founding company Discount Steel cc to service the South African steel market.

Discount Steel Trading showed rapid growth as a steel merchant, and in April 2007 there was an aggressive restructuring process which saw the conversion of all subsidiaries and associated companies into wholly owned subsidiaries.

The minority shareholders within Discount Steel Trading were converted to shareholders within the holding company BSi Steel.

With BSi Steel becoming the holding company of Discount Steel Trading, Trading fell under the BSi Steel brand as a new brand called BSi Steel Bulk Sales.

The BSi Steel Bulk Sales team has seen excellent growth in the highly competitive South African steel market; it is with our motivated sales team that we focus on efficient steel distribution within the South African steel market. Our steel product ranges from Hot and Cold Rolled Sheet, Galvanized and Electro-Galvanized Sheeting as well as Aluzinc. Our distribution reaches out to all parts of South Africa as well as sub-Saharan Africa.

BSi Steel Bulk Sales is driven by a core of highly enthusiastic directors comprising of the Chief Executive Director Craig Parry; who also sits on the BSi Steel group board as well another Sales director Francois Barnard.
