BSi Steel Gauteng was originally known as the company Garrison Steel that was incorporated as a close corporation, and converted to a private company on 21 September 2001.
Garrison Steel showed rapid growth as a JIT steel service industry, and in April 2007 there was an aggressive restructuring process which saw the conversion of all subsidiaries and associated companies into wholly owned subsidiaries.
T
he minority shareholders within BSi Gauteng were converted to shareholders within the holding company BSi Steel.
Through the restructure BSi Steel became the holding company of Garrison Steel and as a result Garrison fell under the BSi Steel brand as a new brand called BSi Steel Gauteng.
